Mission Statement
The mission of Katie’s Kids Preschool is to provide a safe developmentally appropriate environment for every child. Our focus is to provide a stimulating early care and educational experience which promotes each child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. The goal of Katie’s Kids Preschool is to support children’s desire to be lifelong learners.
Our Story
I moved to Chico in 1989 and was blessed with my first son. Being a young mom I found myself struggling with leaving my son. I was new to the area and I didn’t know anyone or where to find loving quality childcare. I decided to use my love of children and open my own small family childcare center. In 1991 we added to our family and we were blessed with another son. After 11 years in small family childcare, I decided to open a large family childcare and bring on some employees.
In 1999 we were blessed with our daughter. So here I was in 1999 staying home with my children and helping other families to raise the best little people and future amazing adults that we could together.
Fast forwarding a bit and now it has been 27 years of in-home childcare. I made a promise to myself that I would stay home until my youngest child entered her senior year of high school and then I would branch off and spread my wings as well and open a Preschool and to be honest get out of the house.
So here I am living my dream! Pinch me! I must say it has been a great adventure serving children’s needs in Butte County since 1990.
My goal in opening my Preschool is to continue to provide a loving quality environment in Butte County where families feel heard and cared for.
